Location

Where is Capital?

Our office/distribution center is in York, PA, within minutes of Rt. 74, Rt. 30, Rt. 462, and I-83, at 520 North Hartley Street. Our customer parking lot is just off Pennsylvania Avenue on North Hartley Street; our brick building and our parking lots dominate the block.

What are our hours of operation?

Capital is open every weekday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We accept orders at our walk-in counter, by phone, by email, and by fax.

 

Products

If I don’t see exactly what I need on your web site, how can I find out if you have it?  Will you search for me?

Yes! Our stock is so extensive. Since we cannot list everything so please check with us. For an overview, see our line card. Happily, we’ve been in the business for more than 60 years and are connected to many resources.  That’s why our customers say, “If you can’t find it at Capital, you don’t need it.”

 

Do you sell small quantities?

Normally we do not break boxes especially for small items. However, if we have an open box, we will try to help you. Most items are boxed in 500, 150, 100 or 50 quantities.  So just ask. Minimum order is $25.

Do you sell in large quantities?

Of course! And for large quantities, we offer bulk prices.

 

Where do you get your products?

We have an extensive inventory and try to buy directly from U.S. manufacturers, big and little, but our resources span the globe.

Can you help with custom parts and modifications?

Whenever possible and if we can’t, we can make recommendations.

Do you accept returns?

Any returns must be made by one week after receipt of goods and must be accompanied by receipt.  If the return is due to change in preference, a 15% handling charge will be made.

 

Shipping & Payment

Can I pick up at your location?

Most of our customers pick up at our location in York, PA. If you prefer, you can use your own UPS account by giving us your account number when you place your order.

How much does shipping cost?
We ship UPS Ground. Or, we can ship 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air, all at the posted UPS rates. Most of our customers pick up at our location in York, PA. If you prefer, you can use your own UPS account by giving us your account number when you place your order.

 

How long to get an order?

We pack our orders for in-stock items the same business day we receive them. If an order is being shipped, the product generally arrives in a few business days depending upon location. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be processed the next business day.

What is your return policy?

If you find a problem with your order or if you changed your mind about your needs, please let us know within one business week after you receive your goods. You can return these goods with a copy of the invoice either at our location or by shipping it to us. A 15 % restocking fee will be applied for orders returned.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, cash and checks.
